Workforce Management
New Release | HR UK: Limited Working for Employees, Renaming of 'Gender' Fields | 8 Jan 2026

Limited Working for Employees
Limited Working introduces a new way for employers to set working hour limits (such as a 20-hour per week restriction) for employees. When a limit is applied, the system will prevent or alert schedulers when an employee is assigned beyond their allowed hours. Employers can also define Exemption Periods (similar to Student Visa rules), allowing employees to be scheduled above their limit for a defined time window, where additional working is permitted -
Renaming of 'Gender' to 'Sex'
Following a recent Supreme Court ruling, we have updated the system terminology to replace references to 'Gender' with 'Sex', reflecting biological birth sex. This change is applied across key areas, including custom reporting headers and the Employee Summary
New Release | Payroll UK: Employment Allowance & EPS Changes | 8 Jan 2026
- Since 6th April 2025, Employment Allowance is no longer treated as ‘De Minimis State Aid’. The £100,000 Class 1 secondary NICs restriction was removed from the system ahead of this date, but further changes now apply:
- Customers using the system no longer need to select their industry when updating Employment Allowance details, and a new confirmation message is displayed upon saving updates
- Employer Payment Summary (EPS) RTI files have also been updated to remove data that HMRC no longer requires or accepts under the revised rules, ensuring that unnecessary data is no longer recorded and sent to HMRC
New Release | Scheduling: Prevent Shift Creation where AI Forecast not yet Generated | 21 Jan 2026
- For WFM UK customers using Fourth AI Sales Forecasts with Scheduling, the system will now check that the AI forecast for a given week has been generated before allowing shift creation for that same week
New Release | HR UK: HR Data Imports - Export Results to Excel | 12 Feb 2026
- HR module data imports have been updated to allow exporting of import results. Users can now download a breakdown (in Excel or CSV format) of successful, failed, or partially successful imports, making it easier to review outcomes, work through errors, and resolve issues outside the system before reimporting
New Release | Payroll UK: Payroll Data Imports - Export Results to Excel | 12 Feb 2026
- Payroll Module data imports have been updated to allow export of import results to Excel. Users can now download a breakdown (in Excel or CSV format) of successful, failed, or partially successful imports, making it easier to review outcomes, work through errors, and resolve issues outside the system before reimporting
New Release | Payroll UK: New Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) Rules | 26 Feb 2026
- The platform has been updated to reflect the 2026/2027 Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) changes. While the deployment occurred on 26th February 2026, these updates only affect absences with a start date on or after 6 April 2026. Key changes include the removal of SSP waiting days, entitlement for employees previously below the Lower Earnings Limit and calculation of SSP at 80% of average weekly earnings (or the statutory flat rate, whichever is lower). Employers should review absences spanning the tax year boundary and consider Company Sick Pay configuration updates where applicable

This release delivers our annual Year-End and New Tax Year updates, ensuring the system remains fully compliant for the upcoming tax year -
Benefits in Kind Module (Payrolling Benefits)
This new module enables compliant payrolling of taxable benefits in line with UK Government requirements, supporting the accurate calculation, application and reporting of benefit cash equivalents through payroll in real time -
HR Data Imports - Linked Pay Rates at Job Title
This release delivers another addition to the HR module's Data Imports functionality. Users can now upload Linked Rates of Pay directly to a Job Title, allowing for the updating of linked pay rates for more than one Job Title at a time
New Release | Scheduling: New Details in Daily Deployment Breakdown Tooltip | 25 Mar 2026
- The daily deployment breakdown tooltip on the Scheduling tab can now show breakdowns of required and scheduled employees by role, and sales types based on their sales type groups. This will give a more aggregated view of this information, and still allows users to drill down to a lower level of granularity if required

Employee Hours Worked Export - Holiday Initialisms
The Employee Hours Worked Export has been updated to introduce a new initialism for Unpaid Half Day Holiday, now shown as UHDH -
Payroll Module Reports & Exports Updates (BIK)
Payroll Module reports and exports have been updated to include additional columns displaying Benefits in Kind (BIK) Notional Payments, where applicable. These enhancements improve visibility of payrolled benefits within standard reporting outputs, supporting clearer reconciliation and audit of taxable pay
Purchase-to-Pay & Inventory
New Release | Trade Simple: Importing Invoice Approvals | 21 Jan 2026
- When there are multiple Invoices or credit notes that require approval due to discrepancies, it is now possible to import the approvals from a CSV file rather than having to open and approve each Invoice or Credit Note individually

Advanced Search by Price Band Override Price
An 'advanced search' option has been added to allow users to filter ingredients and recipe ingredients by 'Price Band Override Price'. This will help speed up recipe building for organisations that use price bands -
Batch/Option Recipe PLU Not Populated
For 'batch' and 'option' recipe types, the Suggested PLU field will no longer be auto-populated with the 'product key' value. As existing batch and option recipes are edited, all existing PLU values in these recipe types will be cleared -
GET/Menus Response Limited to API User's Group
For the request GET/menus, the data included in the response will be limited to the menus contained in the menu sets that are attached to the API user's Group
Adaco
- The ePOS API/menuitems endpoint will now return multiple records where the same menu item (recipe) has multiple PLUs assigned to it for the same outlet
New Release | Adaco: Images Visible in Ordering App | 23 Mar 2026 (all regions)
- Images saved against products and recipes are now visible in the Ordering app. For recipes with multiple images, only the first image will be shown
Fourth Engage/Mobile apps
New Release | Fourth Engage: Admin Console Access from the Fourth Platform | 15 Jan 2026
- The Engage Admin Console can now be included as an assigned application within the Fourth Platform, making it quicker and easier for admin users to access it

User Feedback on Closed Actions & Read Alerts
You can now provide feedback on actions and alerts, and after they've been completed or read, allowing you to reflect on the value of recommendations once you've experienced their outcomes. -
Optional Expiry for Alerts
Alerts can now include an optional expiry date and time, automatically moving expired alerts to your Archive so you only see what's currently relevant
New Release | Adaco: Posting Outlet Requisitions in the Receiving App | 11 Feb 2026 (all regions)
- It is now possible to post Outlet Requisitions in the Receiving app so that the receipt of all goods, either from a supplier or an internal outlet/storeroom, can be done in one place
New Release | Mobile P2P&I: Ordering App: Category Filter Refinement | 18 Feb 2026
- When filtered, Categories will now be displayed within their hierarchy, making it easier to make the correct selections. Selection/deselection of a higher-level Category will select/deselect Category levels below
New Release | P2P&I Mobile Apps | Receiving: 'Comment' Text Field for Product Lines | 25 Mar 2026
- In the Receiving app, a free-text 'comment' field (alphanumeric, 255 character limit) is available on the 'Add Line' and 'Edit Line' screens. This can be used for entering additional information or reference numbers related to specific products. Once the pending delivery is accepted, the information in this field will appear in the 'Reasons' field in Inventory
New Release | Fourth Engage: Multi-factor Authentication
- Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) provides an additional layer of security for Fourth accounts by requiring users to authenticate using two factors: something they know (password) and something they have (an authenticator app). This ensures enhanced protection for user accounts

New Release | Fourth Analytics: Auto Scheduler Dashboard | 22 Jan 2026
- The new Auto Scheduler dashboard allows users to track and analyse the results and metrics of 'Auto Scheduling' performed in the UK WFM Revenue-Based Scheduling module. The dashboard offers insights into KPIs such as Required Hours, Auto Scheduler Hours, Scheduled Hours, and Pre-Scheduled Hours, alongside variances. Users can also view breakdowns of Correct, Over, and Under Hours, bar charts by day and department, trend analysis, and detailed table reports. The dashboard includes standard filters like Location, Department, Area, and Date Range, ensuring a customizable and user-friendly experience
New Release | Fourth Analytics: Sales & Labour KPI Dashboard (Mobile-Responsive) | 16 Mar 2026
- Introduction of a new Sales & Labour KPI Dashboard, built with GoodData KPI Dashboards. Unlike pixel-perfect dashboards, this KPI dashboard is mobile-friendly and responsive, automatically adapting its layout and widget sizing for smaller screens, making it easier for field and operations users to review key metrics on the go
- This dashboard provides a streamlined view of Sales Performance, Labour Efficiency, and Forecast Accuracy to support faster decision-making and day-to-day operational focus

- Introduction of the Sales Forecast Dashboard to meet the reporting needs of customers upgrading to Enterprise IQ with Forecast AI. This dashboard provides a streamlined view of sales and forecast data, enabling better decision-making and operational efficiency
