Limited Working for Employees
Limited Working introduces a new way for employers to set working hour limits (such as a 20-hour per week restriction) for employees. When a limit is applied, the system will prevent or alert schedulers when an employee is assigned beyond their allowed hours. Employers can also define Exemption Periods (similar to Student Visa rules), allowing employees to be scheduled above their limit for a defined time window, where additional working is permitted- Find out more here - WFM UK | HR UK: Limited Working for Employees

Renaming of 'Gender' to 'Sex'
Following a recent Supreme Court ruling, we have updated the system terminology to replace references to 'Gender' with 'Sex', reflecting biological birth sex. This change is applied across key areas, including custom reporting headers and the Employee Summary. For more details on the ruling, please refer to this article. If any further fields have not been updated, please contact your usual Fourth representative.
Changes in Employee Self Service (ESS) have also been made (in 'Employee Details' and 'Personal (Sensitive) Information' - please note, the changes in ESS were effective from 9th December 2025.
Release date: 8th January 2026
