New Release | Scheduling: Prevent Shift Creation where AI Forecast not yet Generated | 21 Jan 2026

What’s New?

• For WFM UK customers using Fourth AI Sales Forecasts with Scheduling, the system will now check that the AI forecast for a given week has been generated before allowing shift creation for that same week

  Why this matters
  This prevents teams from building schedules on incomplete data. Without this safeguard, shifts might be created and later invalidated once the forecast loads, forcing managers to redo work. The new control helps to keep scheduling aligned with the forecasted demand

  Who is affected
  Only customers who use Fourth AI forecasting as the basis for Scheduling. If a user attempts to create a shift for a week where the AI Sales Forecast has not yet been generated (any date over 56 days into the future), the following message will appear:
