New Release | HR UK: Bradford Factor Enhancements, Additional Payments Export | 01 Apr 2026
-
Bradford Factor Enhancements
The Bradford Factor functionality has been enhanced to provide greater control and visibility. The available reference period options have been expanded, allowing customers to better align calculations with their absence policies. Absence Types can now be excluded from Bradford scoring, ensuring non-sickness absences, such as Jury Duty, do not impact results. The core Bradford calculation itself remains unchanged, and a new standalone Bradford Factor export has been introduced for improved analysis and reporting -
Additional Payments Export
A new Additional Payments Export has been introduced in both the Rota and Scheduling modules, allowing users to extract overtime and lieu payments across all locations in a single report, reflecting both authorised and omitted entries for pre-payroll validation and post-submission review
-
Open/Closed Dates and Times Settings Moved to Scheduling Page
The 'Open & Closed Dates and Times' settings have been moved from the Sales Forecast tab to the Scheduling tab, under a new menu subsection, giving users a single location to update their operational times and days as part of a wider overhaul of the Sales Forecast tab
New Release | WFM UK: Absence Code Refactor | 23 Apr 2026
-
Absence Code Refactor (Sickness)
As part of an ongoing commitment to platform stability, a major back-end refactor of the absence code and data storage layer for employee sickness absence has been completed, addressing several legacy root causes of absence-related issues. This work also enables future enhancements to sickness absence functionality, including support for hourly and part-day absences
-
Minimum Staffing in Demand Graph
A new Min Staffing toggle has been added to the Daily Deployment Demand Graph in Revenue-Based Scheduling, allowing users to show or hide minimum staffing levels as a distinct visual layer, overlaid rather than stacked on top of deployment bars. Minimum staffing levels also now appear in the deployment graph tooltip, with the option to expand area-level breakdowns. The toggle state persists for the duration of the user's session
-
Improved Item Count Calculation when no System Forecast Present
Item count calculations in Scheduling have been improved for cases where no system forecast is present, giving a more accurate calculation in these scenarios
New Release | Scheduling: Cost Section Arrow Indicators | 19 May 2026
-
Cost Section Arrow Indicators
The Scheduling module now displays visual directional indicators alongside labour vs. sales budget totals. Previously, budget performance was conveyed through colour alone (green for under budget, red for over budget), which was inaccessible to users with colour vision deficiencies. A down arrow is now shown when labour costs are at or below budget, and an up arrow when costs are above budget, in both the summarised cost view and the detailed cost report
New Release | Scheduling: Calendar Picker Aligned with Week Start Setting | 19 May 2026
-
Calendar Picker Aligned with Week Start Setting
The weekly calendar picker layout on both the Sales Forecast and Scheduling tabs now reflects the Location's 'Select Week start day' setting, ensuring consistency across the product and aligning with business logic at a customer level
New Release | WFM UK: BIK Module Customised Reporting | 21 May 2026
-
BIK Module Customised Reporting
The BIK (Payrolling Benefits in Kind) module now includes a fully redesigned Customised Reporting feature. Reports are interactive, with real-time on-screen sorting, filtering, and search, an Execution Log for audit purposes, and export to Excel
-
Updated Payroll Preview, Past Pay Run Report, and Weekly Overview Report Export Options
Payroll Previews, Past Pay Run Reports, and the Weekly Overview Report V3 can now be exported as XLSX or CSV files, replacing the legacy XLS format. Payroll Previews and Past Pay Run Reports have also been updated to allow switching between preview/report types within a single pop-up without re-running data, exporting individual types or all types together, with each type placed on a separate sheet when exporting all types to XLSX
New Release | Scheduling: Prevent Sign-Off with Open Shifts | 3 June 2026
-
Prevent Schedule Sign-Off When Open Shifts Are Present
A new Organisation-level setting, Prevent schedule signoff if open shifts are present, can now be used to prevent users from signing off a day if any open (unassigned) shifts remain for that day. This ensures that all outstanding shifts are resolved before sign-off is completed
This functionality is applicable only for non-Fourth HR integrated customers.
New Release | WFM UK: Configurable 'Evidence Seen?' Flag for Absences (SSP and CSP) | 4 Jun 2026
-
Configurable 'Evidence Seen' Flag for Absences (SSP and CSP)
A new setting is now available for Absence Types that, when enabled, removes the 'Evidence seen?' requirement in employee absence records so they can be paid Statutory or Company Sick Pay. This setting is available for newly created Absence Types only and becomes locked once the Absence Type has been used on an absence record, reducing administrative burden for short, self-certified absences following the April 2026 SSP reforms
New Release | WFM UK: HR Data Imports - Contracted Hours & Override FTE | 4 Jun 2026
-
HR Data Imports - Contracted Hours & Override FTE
This release introduces two new data import types to the HR module. Administrators can now upload and update employee contracted hours in bulk, and also apply, update, or remove Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) values, without needing to navigate and edit individual records

New Release | RME: Alternate Ingredients no Longer Inherit Parents' External Codes | 30 Apr 2026
-
Alternate Ingredients no Longer Inherit Parents' External Codes
When an alternate ingredient is created via the RME user interface with the option to 'inherit' values from its linked parent ingredient, the External Code will no longer be included in the inherited parent values, and its field has been relocated on the Alternate Ingredient record, preventing an issue where External Codes could become duplicated
New Release | Recipe and Menu Engineering: APIs for Image URL and Other Properties | 12 May 2026
-
New Endpoints for Ingredient Details
A new endpoint (/ingredientdetails) has been added to facilitate updating a limited number of specialist ingredient properties via API, including Image URL, Sellable, Orderable, Available, and inAztec, identified by either a StarChef key or a supplier name/code combination

Adaco
New Release | Adaco: Deactivating Outlets | 14 & 16 Apr 2026
-
Deactivating Outlets

New Release | Fourth App: Email Multi-factor Authentication | 25 Jun 2026
-
Multi-Factor Authentication with Email
Fourth app users now have the option to receive Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) verification codes via email when signing in, as an alternative to using an authenticator app. Biometric access methods (fingerprint, face ID, etc.) can also be used for MFA on supported mobile devices
-
'Date Received' Selection Options Limited to Dates in Selected Period
The dates available for selection in the date picker are restricted to those dates within the selected period, except when the selected period is in the future, in which case only today's date is available. This reduces the likelihood of differences between the date selected in the Receiving app and the date stored in the Adaco database -
Read-only Requisitions (Adaco)
Read-only requisitions will now be displayed in the Receiving app for Adaco customers, allowing users without 'Edit' permission to view Requisition details
