Multi-Factor Authentication with Email
Fourth app users now have the option to receive Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) verification codes via email when signing in. This is an alternative method to using an authenticator app, as described here in our recent release note.
To have MFA enabled, and to specify which type to use, please liaise with your Fourth Customer Success Manger. Biometric access methods (fingerprint, face ID, etc) can also be used for MFA on mobile devices (Apple and Android).
Key Features:
- Users can use their email authentication with their associated Fourth account email
- Biometric authentication (e.g., face ID, fingerprint) is optionally available for supported devices
- After email MFA enablement, users must provide a verification code along with their password for every login
- The Fourth iOS/Android app allows seamless login without re-entering MFA credentials, leveraging biometric factors for added security
