WFM Release Note - Labour Productivity: Young Worker Break Rules
What’s Changing?
Ability to create specific automatic break rules for Young Workers (those who are under 18 years of age).
Release date: 16th October 2019
Reason for the Change
Young workers (above school leaving age and under 18) are usually entitled to a 30 minute rest break if they work more than 4.5 hours (if possible this should be one continuous break). The functionality will help organisations to conform to this.
WFM Release Note - Labour Productivity: Copy Daily Budget Breakdown Percentages
What’s Changing?
Ability to copy daily budget breakdown percentages from one department to another.
Release date: 16th October 2019
Reason for the Change
Currently the only way to create budget breakdown percentage is to manually create them for each department. Copying the breakdown percentages from one department to another will help to save time.
WFM Release Note - HR Alert for Deleted Holidays
What’s Changing?
Introduction of a new alert in Alert Events within the HR Module for when a holiday has been deleted against an Employee.

Reason for the Change
In the event of Employees deleting holidays that have already been approved, Managers can now easily be made aware.
WFM Release Note - Prevent Rehiring of Employees over X Months
What’s Changing?
Introduction of a new Global Setting that prevents the rehiring of Employees, a specific number of months after their termination date.
Release date: 31st October 2019
Reason for the Change
Some customers do not allow Employees to be rehired on the system a certain number of months after they have been terminated, so the change helps to simplify this policy (if enacted).
WFM Release Note - Labour Productivity: Open Shifts in Schedule by Demand Graph
What’s Changing?
Ability to include any open shifts in the Schedule by Demand graph.
Release date: 27th November 2019
Reason for the Change
Currently, open shifts are not considered in any Labour Productivity calculations. So when open shifts are moved to employees, users will see an increase of hours in their correct/over/under percentages. Having the ability to include open shifts in the Demand graph will allow for a more accurate forecast of correct hour compliance.
WFM Release Note - Labour Productivity: Allow Positive Fixed Cost Values Only
What’s Changing?
Introduction of a new user level permission which will only allow for positive fixed costs to be entered.

Reason for the Change
The existing Edit Fixed Costs permission allows users to enter negative fixed costs. Allowing only positive fixed cost values will help ensure that correct fixed costs are entered.

What’s Changing?
New setting that, when applied, prevents users from submitting to payroll if open shifts are scheduled in that Location for that scheduled week.

What’s Changing?
A new setting which if enabled will display a new row in the Manage Payments page, which will show the total distributed staff expenses (tips).

Reason for the Change
New access right setting that prevents quantity updates in receiving corrections
If applied, this access right can be used to restrict certain users from editing quantities in receiving corrections, helping to reduce the risk of human error.
Disable editing of active status when a product detail is inactive at CP
It was noticed that a product detail inactivated at CP could be later activated and used at Property level. To keep the integrity of CP control, the user will no longer be able to activate product details that were deactivated at CP. If the product detail is later activated at CP, it can then also be activated at property.
Minor enhancements to auto-split requisition
Additional changes were needed so that the auto-split requisition logic is aligned to the usual process requisition logic.
Fourth Engage/Mobile apps

What’s Changing?
A new Cookie Policy link will be available to all Engage and branded app users on the login page. This will display the the Fourth legal cookie policy.

If Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) or Company Sick Pay (CSP) have been paid and an absence is deleted, the days that have been paid will be added back onto the entitlement. This Additional Information pop-up is to give HR & Payroll users more information about the absence they are deleting from an employee’s record before it is deleted.

What’s Changing?
Several enhancements have been applied to the Invoice/Credit Export screen:
- Selection Preservation - when navigating from page to page, records already added to the export will remain selected
- Result Sorting - export search results can be sorted ascending/descending by column headers
- Search by Document Reference – a new parameter has been added to allow search by reference
- Additional Columns - columns representing VAT and gross value have been added to search results
- Resolve Counter Reset - an issue causing the documents added counter to re-set after a period of activity has been resolved

Reason for the Change
Role-Based Approvals
With the growing number of users and change in responsibilities, there is a need for an Approval Group against which multiple users can be assigned. When an item which requires review, approval or final approval, it can be actioned by any user who is assigned to the Approval Group.
Split Requisition on Auto Create & Transmit
When the Auto Create & Transmit option was introduced, there was no way to partially process a requisition – it was either processed or not. With the ability to split items from a requisition when auto processing, there is a possibility to process items that could be ordered and split the remaining ones into a separate requisition for further review.

Role-Based Approvals
