This article offers helpful information regarding the new Logbook - Task Lists Permission by Hierarchy feature. Logbook now offers administrators the ability to create, manage, and access Task Lists at all levels of their organizational hierarchy.
Note: Task Lists are created in the Above Store Console. If you do not have ASC access, please reach out to your Corporate office.
Benefits of this new feature:
- Groups and franchises will have the flexibility to create, edit, and assign their own Task Lists.
- The corporate office maintains oversight and the ability to manage permissions, assignments and the creation of Task Lists within the ASC.
- Filter out the noise and see only the lists that are relevant to your store or group.
What to look out for:
- Filter to only view current ASC Level - By selecting this filter, only Task Lists created or assigned at the current level will be displayed.
- Level Created Column - This column will display the ASC organizational hierarchy name associated with the Task List.
- Access Level - This column will display the ASC user access type, including;
- Read Access - Users can only view and copy Task Lists.
- Write Access - Users can view, edit, delete, copy, and assign Task Lists.
The landing page will only show Task Lists related to your placement in the ASC hierarchy. Task Lists created at a higher level within the hierarchy will be available to view (read-only) & copy by lower levels of the ASC Hierarchy. Task Lists can also be created & owned by Groups or Franchises within the Company.
Task Lists assignment will be updated to reflect your position in the ASC hierarchy.
Inactive Task Lists will adhere to the same read/write access rules as Active Task Lists. Only users with ‘write’ permissions, can ‘Activate’ a Task List. Note: the checkboxes to ‘Activate’ and ‘Delete’ a Task List do not exist for Task Lists with ‘Read’ permissions.
