Overview
Inventory management has a direct impact on the profit and loss of a store. Stock Counts help guide you to complete the process in an easy to view format, using a mobile device. Regular and accurate inventory counts ensure you have the correct amount of stock on hand.
Best practices for Stock Counts are as follows:
- Stock Counts should be performed regularly using a mobile device
- Spot Counts can be conducted on a few select number of high risk or high-value items

Navigating to Stock Counts
Work Flow Navigation
- From the Work Flow, select the Daily Stock Count task

- A login screen will display, enter your credentials and select Login

- Select the Menu icon
- Select Inventory Count, then select the appropriate count option

Menu Navigation
- From the Menu tab navigate to the Counts tab, select the appropriate count option

- A login screen will display, enter the credentials and select LOGIN

The system will automatically route to the option that was selected in the Menu after successfully logging in.
Mobile Navigation
- Log in to the MacromatiX mobile site as shown in Fig.6 and from the left side menu select Inventory Count, then select the appropriate count option

Completing a Stock Count
- Follow the steps above to navigate to your correct stock count type
- The screen will refresh and on the left panel you will see a list of stock locations with the total amount of inventory items stored there

- Shaded in gray is the location that you are currently counting items in
- The number inside the square icon (as highlighted in Fig.9) indicates how many items are still to be counted in that location
- The color of the square icon indicates the current result of the count in this location
- Green: Indicates that all items are counted and the results are within the store tolerance level

- Orange: Indicates that one or more items are still needing to be counted (including partial) and no items are out of tolerance yet

- Red: Indicates one or more items are out of tolerance

- The main screen panel will display inventory items from the location that is shaded grey

- After visually counting the item, enter the amounts in the Base Unit field. Be sure the quantity entered is in the matching unit of measure listed on the item
Please be aware of using 0. Entering 0 means there is 0 amount left of this item. Leaving the field blank means you have not counted this item yet.
- Once you have counted all items, select the ACTIONS button on the upper right-hand side and select one of the following 4 options

- Submit: This action will show you a summary of the count. You can choose the apply date and time and finalize the count by selecting Submit Count

- Save: If you wish to finish the count later, this will save the amounts you have already entered for this count
- Review Count: The review count shows you the inventory values in a summary prior to applying the count to the system. This provides you with a sanity check before submitting the count

- To return to the count after viewing this screen, select View Active Count
- Delete: If this option is chosen a confirmation box will appear and you can select to delete the count and it will not be applied

Searching for an Item During a Stock Count
- When completing an inventory count, you can see a Search Items field above the locations panel. Use the tab located above the search field and choose to search by location, items or groups, then begin to slowly type an item's name into this field. The items with those letters in them will appear

- Select the requested item from the search suggestions and it will then show you the search results for where this item is located

When using the search feature during an inventory count, you will only be able to search the items that are listed to be counted for that frequency.
- By selecting the location, you will see that specific item appear in the main panel for counting
- To return to the count, select the X button on the search field and the count will appear again
