Overview
HotSchedules provides multiple ways for employees to communicate their availability to their manager. This article provides the steps and additional information about submitting availability requests for the iOS and Android apps.

Please note: There are slight differences between the iOS and Android platforms. See the appropriate section for your platform.
Adjusting your Availability from the Mobile Apps
iOS
- From the menu, select My Availability
- Select the add icon to create a new request (Fig.2)

- Select the date the new availability will start, then select Done
- To edit, select a day that needs to be adjusted

- Once selected, there will be 3 options to select:
- Available: This communicates that you are fully available for work that day
- Unavailable: This communicates that you are completely unavailable to work that day
- Partially Available: This communicates what portion of the day you would be available to work that day. This request requires the exact time to be entered (Fig.6)
- Once the appropriate option has been selected, select Done

- Once each day is appropriately entered, select Save
- Enter the Reason for the Change, select the approving manager, then select Submit (Fig.8)

Please note: If you want to update your availability, you must create a new one. You do not have to continue to submit availabilities weekly. The availability you submit will apply indefinitely until you create a new availability.
How do you know if your availability has been approved? Check your messages, you will receive a notification that your availability request has been approved.
- To cancel a pending availability request, select the icon for the date the request will start
- Select Cancel Request

Android
- From the menu, select My Availability

- Select the date the new availability will start, then select OK
- To edit, select a day that needs to be adjusted
