Meal & Break planning is a feature in HotSchedules that allows Above Store Console users to create and assign rule sets for Meals and Breaks to stores within their Hierarchy. Once a store has been assigned a rule set, users on the site will see shifts in the scheduler that are marked as eligible for a meal or break.
Employees that are eligible for a meal or break can then be assigned a scheduled time in the roster report on the scheduler. This time will save to the roster report, allowing other mangers to view and print it off on their end. Since Meals are considered unpaid, they will also be removed from any scheduled hours in reporting.
As an Above Store Console user, Meal & Break Planning can help your restaurants keep track of who needs to take a break. As a site level user, Meal & Break Planning allows you to see shifts that your employees will need a break or meal for and keep track of when these need to be.
