Overview
Custom Message Filters help organize messages in your HotSchedules inbox by grouping related messages into categories. You can use default filters provided by the system or create your own custom filters to quickly locate messages and reduce inbox clutter.
View Existing Filters
When you open the Messaging tab, filters appear on the left side of the inbox.
- Default Filters are automatically created by the system based on message content.
- Custom Filters display any filters you have previously created.
- Selecting a filter displays all messages assigned to that category.
Create a Custom Filter
- Log in to HotSchedules and navigate to the Messaging tab Inbox.
- Select Add Filter.
- Enter a name for the new filter.
- Save the filter.
Add Messages to a Filter
- Open the message you want to categorize.
- Select Filter in the upper-right corner of the message.
- Choose an existing filter or create a new one.
- Save your selection.
The message will now appear when that filter is selected.
Additional Information
- System-generated messages may automatically appear under default filters.
- Messages can be assigned to custom filters to improve organization and searchability.
