The Messaging tab allows employees to communicate with coworkers within HotSchedules. It functions similarly to an email inbox, allowing users to send messages to individuals or entire schedule groups. (everyone on the server schedule for example).
- Navigate to the Messaging tab in your HotSchedules account to check out your Inbox.
- This displays all messages sent to your account, including system notifications related to your schedule.

Clicking any of these filters will limit the messages displayed to only those associated with that filter. Automatic messages will come with filters already associated. For example, schedule updates will show under the Schedules filter.
You can add custom filters, here. You can then associate them with messages you receive later. Learn more details about creating filters in this article.
To compose a new message, click New Message. A new window will appear. Learn more details about composing messages in this article.
Clicking any message in the middle column allows you to view it in the right column. Bold messages in the list indicate it is unread.
Reply, reply all, or forward a message using the top drop-down menu. You can also associate a message with a filter, or create a new one using the bottom drop-down.
Delete or Mark Messages as Read:
Delete messages by clicking the X beside it.
Apply actions to multiple messages by selecting the Multiple box, choosing the desired messages, and selecting an option from the drop-down menu.
