Redesign of the Rota module’s user interface on the following pages
(select from the list below to go straight to that section):
Reason for the Change
To align the look and functionality of these pages with the rest of the Workforce Management solution, improving the overall user experience.
Release Notes
All functionality within the system will remain the same. The main user experience changes are shown below.
Create Rotas
- Access the Rota module and go to Rotas > View Rotas > Create A New Rota
The existing page displays the Create by Date/Week Number options before the Location selection drop-down. See (Fig.1).

On the new page, the Location must be selected first, making the other options available. The Create By Date and Week Number options are now selected via a radio button (will default to Date). See Fig.2.

Edit Revenue
- To view the Edit Revenue page, go to Rotas > View Rotas and select a Rota Week
- From the Rota Week Summary, select Edit Revenue
Differences between the old and new page versions are shown below in Fig.3 and Fig.4.

Weekly Attendance
- For customers with Weekly Attendance enabled, go to Rotas > View Rotas and select a Rota Week
- From the Rota Week Summary, select Weekly Attendance
The main difference between the two versions of the weekly Attendance page is the addition of a key that shows what the symbols represent.

T&A Details Report
- To view the T&A Details Report, go to Rotas > Time and Attendance > T&A Details Report
As with weekly attendance, the main difference between the two versions is the addition of a key that shows what the symbols represent.

Submit to Payroll
- To submit a rota to payroll, go to Rotas > View Rotas > Select Rota Week
- From the Rota Week Summary, select Status - Submitted to Payroll

To align the look and functionality of this page with the rest of the Workforce Management solution, improving the overall user experience.

All functionality within the system will remain the same. The primary user experience changes are shown below.
Employee Absences
- In the HR module go to Employees > Employee List
- Search for and select an employee and within their Employee Summary, go to Employee HR Info > Absences
- Then select Add A New Absence
For flexible employees, on the current page, the numbers of each day worked in the previous weeks' rotas are listed in a sentence at the bottom left of the create absence page - see Fig11.

For flexible employees, on the new page, the number of days usually worked in previous weeks will be shown below the qualifying days' tick boxes - see Fig.12.
