What's Changing?

The Wage Function settings page in the Rota module has been updated to allow the inclusion of 'Open Shift' and 'Contractor' costs in the wage function calculations, which also allows those values to be returned in reports and analysis pages.

Reason for the Change

Without the Open Shift and Contractor costs being included in the Wage Cost functionality, it would be difficult for customers to accurately report on total Wage Cost when using Shift Pooling and Contractors.

All customers using the Rota module, with Scheduling integration.

Release Note Info/Steps

To enable the Open Shift and Contractor wage elements, go to:

• Rota module > Administration > Wage Function Settings

• Scroll down to find the 'Open Shift Costs' and 'Contractor Costs' wage elements:

When the Open Shift and/or the Contractor Cost wage elements are configured, they will be available on the following reports: 

• Rota Analysis
• Monthly Wage Cost Analysis Report
• Weekly Overview Report V3

Rota Analysis

To access the Rota Analysis page, go to:

• Rotas module > Rotas > View Rotas > search for and select the required Rota
• Scroll down to the 'Employee Shifts' section, and select Analysis from the drop-down (see Fig.3)

• When on the Analysis page, scroll down to find 'Open Shift Costs' and 'Contractor Costs', which will show the wage cost for these wage elements

Monthly Wage Cost Analysis Report

To access the Monthly Wage Cost Analysis Report, go to:

• Rota module > Reports > Monthly Wage Cost Analysis
• Select a Location, enter the Date Range and select Run Report

• When viewing the Monthly Wage Cost Analysis Report, scroll down to find 'Open Shift Costs' and 'Contractor Costs', which will show the wage cost for these wage elements

Weekly Overview Report V3

To access the Weekly Overview Report V3, go to: 

• Rota module > Reports > Weekly Overview Report V3 > Select Week and 'Generate For' > Search

• When on the Weekly Overview Report V3 page, scroll down to find 'Open Shift Costs' and 'Contractor Costs', which will show the wage cost for those wage elements
