Sometimes the employee makes a mistake when completing Section 1 of the I-9. Correcting this is a two-step process:
- The Manager will send the I-9 back to the Employee to make corrections
- The Employee will make corrections
Step 1. Manager Sends I-9 back to Employee for Corrections
- Click WorkSpaces
- Under your organization's name, click Administrator
- The Administrator WorkSpace or HOME tab will appear. Click I-9 Documentation
- A list of Team Members will appear. The status for each individual will display on the right
- You can search for a Team Member by name or use Filters to narrow down your search
- Your next step will depend on the current status. Click Actions. Click Start I-9 or Section 2: View/Edit I-9 Information
- Section 2 of the I-9 will open to Step 1. Review Employee Information. Click Send back to employee for corrections
- The Employee will receive an email to make corrections to Section 1
Step 2. Employee Makes Corrections to Section 1 of I-9
To access the I-9 Form to make corrections via email:
- Access the email message sent to you. In the message, click on the hyperlink to begin the process.
- Follow the prompts to enter information needed for I-9. When finished, click Submit.
To access the I-9 Form to make corrections from your PeopleMatter account:
- Go to https://my.peoplematter.com and click Sign In.
- Enter your Username and Password.
- Click Notifications. Select the Company Name where you work.
- Follow the prompts to enter information needed for I-9. When finished, click Submit.
