Sometimes the Employee or Manager makes a mistake when completing the I-9. How to correct this:

The Manager will send the I-9 back to the Employee to make corrections
a. The Employee will make corrections - The Manager needs to make corrections to Section 2 of the I-9
1. Manager Sends I-9 back to Employee for Corrections
- Select WorkSpaces
- Under your organization's name, select Administrator
- The Administrator WorkSpace or Home tab will appear > Select I-9 Documentation

- A list of Team Members will appear. The status for each individual will display on the right
- You can search for a Team Member by name or use Filters to narrow down your search
- Your next step will depend on the current status
- Select Actions
- Select Start I-9 or Section 2: View/Edit I-9 Information

Section 2 of the I-9 will open to
- Review Employee Information > Select Send back to employee for corrections

The Employee will receive an email to make corrections to Section 1
If you select Next, you will be able to make changes to Section 2 of the I-9.
a. Employee Makes Corrections to Section 1 of I-9
To access the I-9 Form to make corrections via email:
- Access the email message sent to you. In the message, select the hyperlink to begin the process.
- Follow the prompts to enter information needed for the I-9.
- When finished, select Submit
To access the I-9 Form to make corrections from your PeopleMatter account:
- Go to https://my.peoplematter.com and select Sign In
- Enter your Username and Password
- Select Notifications > Select the Company Name where you work
- Follow the prompts to enter information needed for I-9. When finished, select Submit.

2. The Manager needs to make corrections to Section 2 of the I-9
- Select WorkSpaces
- Under your organization's name, select Administrator
- Select the I-9 Documentation
- A list of Team Members will appear. The status of each individual will be displayed on the right
- You can search for a Team Member by name or use Filters to narrow down your search
- You will want to identify the Team Member's status of Complete
- Select Actions > Section 2: View/Edit I-9 Information
- Section 2 of the I-9 will open. Make your applicable changes
