Currently, HotSchedules supports Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 10 and 11, and Edge (along with the supported platforms and browsers listed here). HotSchedules will soon be discontinuing the support for Internet Explorer 10.
What Does This Mean?
As of March 1st, 2018, new features will be only be supported in Internet Explorer 11 and Edge. Any issues exclusive to Internet Explorer 10 will no longer be resolved.
Why is HotSchedules Removing This?
With each Release, HotSchedules assesses all platforms (operating systems, Internet browsers, databases) that are at the end of their supportability, and Microsoft stopped supporting this version of Internet Explorer on January 12, 2016. “End of support” means there are no more security (and non-security) updates, assisted support options, or online technical content updates.
Technology changes quickly, and we understand that it could impact your business. With that in mind, we have been fairly conservative about which platforms we deprecate or discontinue support for.
In order to deliver new features to you - and continue to support the features you love - with the best experience possible, we need to be mindful of the support policies of external technologies and platforms.
We give as much advance notice as possible for changes in external platform support through proactive communication.
For more information about how HotSchedules handles feature and technology support deprecation, please see HotSchedules Feature Deprecation Process & Policies.
Am I Affected?
If you use Internet Explorer 10, then yes. Don’t worry, you will still be able to access HotSchedules on older versions of Internet Explorer, however, we will be unable to support issues unique to Internet Explorer 10 you experience after March 1, 2018.
What Do I Need to Do?
To assure the best user experience possible, HotSchedules recommends moving to Internet Explorer 11 or the latest version of Edge, Chrome, or Firefox.
- Microsoft has publicly announced that Internet Explorer 11 will be the last version of Internet Explorer, and the Microsoft Lifecycle policy currently states to “continues to provide a minimum of five years of Mainstream Support.” Because Internet Explorer 11 was released in 2013 HotSchedules strongly recommends looking into Edge or one of the aforementioned browsers.
What Happens if I Don't Act in Time?
You will still be able to access HotSchedules on older versions of Internet Explorer, however, we will be unable to support any issues unique to Internet Explorer 10 you experience after March 1, 2017. if you do not upgrade to Internet Explorer 11.
