Admins can create pay rules based on each legislative area and assign them to each store. Rules are configured and managed centrally in the Above Store Console.
This article will show you how to create Pay Exceptions Rules Sets that could include Predictability Pay, Right to Rest, and Minimum Shift.
Pay Exceptions Rule Sets
Once you logged in to the Above Store Console, navigate to the Time & Attendance tab and select Pay Exceptions. Select Create New Rule and enter the name of the Rule Set and select Save.

Once you saved the name of the Rule Set, you will be able to add any of the pay exceptions rules.
Predictability Pay
The time between changes to the posted schedule and the actual scheduled shift.
A) The grace period to add or cut time without pay penalty. It can be set from zero minutes to 120 minutes.
B) This is where you set the Advance Period to make changes to the schedule. You can set it from 24 hours to 14 days and select before the Work Week Start or Shift Start.
After you set your Grace Period and Advance Notice you can select the pay exception.
C) For when adding hours to a posted schedule within the Advance Notice.
D) For when moving hours to a posted schedule within the Advance Notice.
E) For when cutting hours to a posted schedule within the Advance Notice.
F) You can set the Earning Code to match your payroll export
G) If you need to add a condition to the rule you will be able to select this option and you will see similar options from C, D, and E.
Right to Rest
The time between the late-night shift and the next day shift.
A) Set the time between the night and the next day shift.
B) Select pay exception if the time between shifts is less than once set for the rule.
C) You can set the Earning Code to match your payroll export.
Minimum Shift
The minimum time to pay when an employee comes to work.
