'Following' Community Groups, Release Notes, and Article Sections – Fourth & HotSchedules Customer Success Portal

Overview

The Fourth Customer Success Portal (CSP) provides the option for users to 'follow' certain areas, so that they receive email notifications when new articles are published, or new Community posts are made. This article explains where to go and how to follow Community Groups and Knowledge Sections.

Please note - when following a Group or Topic on the CSP, any notifications will be emailed to the address that you use to sign in to the CSP.

You must be signed in to follow Community Groups.

Following Community Groups

Most Fourth products have two Community Groups:

Ideas - to make suggestions for product improvements - find out more about Ideas here
Posts - used for general discussion, questions

From the Community homepage, select your required Fourth Product

For your selected product, select See all for either Ideas or Posts

Then select Follow for Updates and choose whether to receive email notifications for New posts only, or for New posts and comments

A 'comment' is a reply to an existing post or previous comment; being notified of comments is a useful way to track ongoing interactions on a post.

After this, email notifications (with direct links) will be received for new posts and comments made in that group.

Following Release Note Groups

This is a great way to stay up to date with new release information for all of your Fourth products.

From the CSP homepage, go to Release Notes (from the top of the page) and select your Fourth product

Then select Follow for Updates and choose whether to receive email notifications for New articles (release notes) only, or for New articles and comments
- Selecting this 2nd option means you will receive email alerts for comments posted on release notes in that section

After this, email notifications (with direct links) will be received for new release notes and comments made in that group.

Please note: If a product has release note sub-sections (as per WFM UK), you must follow each one as required, not just the main section.

Following Knowledge Sections

Similarly to release notes, it is also possible to follow sections on the CSP so that you receive an email notification when new knowledge articles are published.

From the CSP homepage, select your required Fourth Product

Then select the required section

Then select Follow for Updates and choose whether to receive email notifications for New articles only or for New articles and comments
- Selecting this 2nd option means you will receive email alerts for comments posted on articles in that section

Profile Summary

To see and manage all of your 'following' settings, from the top-right corner, select Profile > My profile
Then, from the left side, select Following

All 'followed' areas will be listed, with the option to amend/unfollow as needed.
