The What's Happening News Feed is a great way to send messages to your current Team Members. Here are a few items to know about this feature:
- Managers and Administrators can send What's Happening Messages from the Home tab within PeopleMatter or from the PeopleMatter Mobile App.
- Managers can send What's Happening Messages to Team Members for the locations they have access to.
- Administrators can send What's Happening Messages to Team Members at all locations.
- Team Members can view this information when logging into PeopleMatter on a computer or when using the PeopleMatter Mobile App.
- At this time, the What's Happening feed is not a part of the new Dashboards and you will need to turn off the Dashboard in order to access it.
To send a What's Happening Message:
- Click WorkSpaces.
- Under your organization's name, click Administrator.
- The Administrator WorkSpace or HOME tab will appear.
- What's Happening appears in the middle. Click in the box that says, "What would you like to share with your team members today?
- Type your message.
- Notice you can create a Spanish version of the message. Important: PeopleMatter will not translate this information for you; you will need to enter the text in Spanish if you choose to use this feature.
- Click Share.
- Your message will be sent to the Team Members within the locations you have access to.
- Team Members can view the messages within PeopleMatter on a computer or on the PeopleMatter Mobile App.
Who can see the What's Happening News Feed?
Team Members who have a PeopleMatter account can see the What's Happening News Feed from the Employee Home WorkSpace:
Managers and Administrators can see the What's Happening News Feed from the Administrator Home WorkSpace:
As it relates to PeopleMatter Administrator Roles:
- If a Primary Admin, Financial Admin, or Business Admin creates a message, it is seen by ALL Team Members because these roles have access to all locations.
- Primary Admin, Financial Admin, or Business Admin can see all messages created by other administrators because they have access to all locations.
- If a Human Resources Manager or Business Unit Admin creates a message, it is seen by all higher administrators and ONLY the Team Members at the locations they have access to.
- Team Members cannot create messages.
Who can delete a What's Happening Message?
In order to delete a message from the What's Happening News Feed, you must either be the creator of the message or have administrative rights higher than the creator.
Example:
- I am a Business Unit Admin and I added a message for the location I have access to.
- As the creator, I can delete the message.
- An individual with Human Resource Manager access or higher may also delete the message.
To delete a What's Happening Message:
- Click WorkSpaces.
- Under your organization's name, click Administrator.
- The Administrator WorkSpace or HOME tab will appear.
- What's Happening appears in the middle. Messages sent previously will display.
- Click X next to the message you want to delete.
