What is the one-way text feature?
A new feature added within the candidate record in PeopleMatter that will enable managers to send a single, one-way text to candidates inviting them to interview.
What problem does this feature solve for me?
This new feature will give you time back in their day and will likely boost your interview show rate and time to fill rate. Through customer research, we’ve learned that only 4 out of 20 applicants will return calls to schedule an interview, but 15 out of 20 applicants will get back to them in response to a text.
Where do I go to send the text?
The feature can be found on the Tracking tab of the Candidate record.
Can I send Applicants a text?
Yes, locate the Tracking tab on the Applicant's record and select 'Send text message to Applicant'
Why don’t I see the Text Feature under the Candidate record?
This could be one of two reasons.
-
The candidate has not opted into receiving notifications.
-
A message has already been sent to the candidate (only one message can be sent).
What is the default text being sent to the candidate?
By default, the message that comes up states: <Manager Name> at <Company> wants to chat about a position. Please call <Location Number>, or stop in to schedule an interview.
*Note that “Manager Name” defaults to the person viewing the candidate record.
Can I edit the default text?
Yes - this text can be edited to say whatever you desire but there is a 200 character limit.
Can a candidate opt-out of texts after they have opted in?
Yes - the Candidate can either reply to the text with STOP or they can log into their PeopleMatter account and unselect the option.
Can I send texts in mass?
No - we do not have a way to text in mass at this time.
Can I send a text if the candidate has not opted into receiving notifications?
No - the candidate must opt-in. If they don't, the option will not display.
