New employees may sometimes report that when logging in to their Fourth app, they see a previous employer's portal. This is likely because they are using their old saved login credentials instead of their new account.
When the system detects a new employee who has previously held a Fourth account, a new, unique user account is created for them. This is standard practice to ensure that their new account remains separate and secure from any previous employment records.
The Employee should:
- Check their personal email (including spam/junk) for a recent 'welcome' email from Fourth
This email contains important information, including instructions on how to log in and their newly assigned username.
Usernames are randomly generated and are unique for each employee. Although they might resemble an email address, they function only as a system username and are not linked to any active inbox.
- If the employee still experiences issues accessing their account, they can use the ‘Forgotten Username?’ link on the login page. Since their username is tied to their registered email address, the system will send the correct username directly to their inbox once requested. More information on resetting login details can be found here
