    Updating Organise Product Settings


    Go to any of the following pages:
    • Input Stock Count
    • Create a New Order
    • Create Site Transfer or Requisition
    • Manage Products

    • Whilst on any of these pages look for and click the ‘Organise’ [User-added image] icon.

    • The two fields of note for the purposes of this document are the ‘Group By’ & ‘Sort By’ fields.
    • The key is to ensure that users who work together have the same settings for each field.
    • The settings below are recommended (as in Fig 5 above):
     
    Field Setting Ascending or Descending
    Group By Category Ascending
    Sort By Product Name Ascending

    Note: The above are recommended settings for users however there may be a need to user different settings to suit a particular setup. For example cellar users may find it more convenient to group by origin and sort by vintage or bin #.
     

    Field Setting Descriptions

     
    Field Setting Description
    Group By Origin The country of origin set up against the product.
    Category Grouped by the Cost Centre then Item Type then Category of the product. [Recommended]
    Supplier(s) By the main supplier of that product on that particular site
    --None-- No set grouping applied.

    Field Setting Description
    Sort By Product Name The name of the product. [Recommended]
    Vintage The vintage (if any) setup against the product. [Useful for cellar managers and staff]
    Bin# The bin number setup against the product, this is the location of the item in the cellar. [Useful for cellar managers and staff]
    PLU# Sort by the product’s main PLU number. [Single site customers only]
    Cost Price The cost price of main supplier of the product on that particular site.
    Sales Price Sort by the sales price of the product’s main PLU. [Single site customers only]
    --None-- No set sorting applied.
