Overview
Fuego-related settings are set at the organization level of your company setup. However, it is possible (and sometimes required) to make adjustments at employee level to help manage individuals' circumstances as needed. This article covers each of the employee settings that you are able to manage and example scenarios where they may be helpful.
Please note: Not all Fuego admin users will have access to manage employee settings, please reach out to your manager if you require additional access.
Search for your Employee
- Once logged in to the Fuego Admin tool, go to the menu bar and select Employees
- Use the search bar to search by either first or last name
- Narrow down your search using the filters as needed
Search results will appear automatically.
- Select the employee name
The employee's 'Profile' section will then display.
Review Profile Settings
All adjustable employee settings are in the 'Profile' section. From here, it is possible to change the employee's Status, EWA offer percentage, TCO Offer Percent, and Low Earning Threshold amount.
- To collapse the 'Profile' section, use the - symbol in the top-right corner
Status
When an employee is terminated from your employment, their Status will automatically update to Terminated. This happens when the system receives the information from the data source that Fuego employments come from (typically the POS or HotSchedules).
We also rececive information to confirm when an employee is Inactive. Both the Terminated and Inactive status prevent the employee from using the Fuego On-Demand Pay service but should be maaged via the source data.
EWA Offer Percent
The default offer percent per employee is set at an org level and is typically 50% for the organization.
- If you have an employee, however, who is regularly unable to have the earned wage access amount deducted from their paycheck you may consider adjusting this amount as needed, either permanently or temporarily
- If you would like an employee to stop using the service periodically then you can set this to 0% and no wage draws will be possible
The maximum is 50% and cannot be set above that level.
TCO Offer Percent
The default offer percent per employee is set at an org level and is typically 100% for the organization.
- If you have an employee, however, where there are tax or deduction issues when processing payroll because they cannot cover garnishments or disbursements because of the amount of tips being paid out then this value can be reduced as needed.
- If you would like an employee to stop using the service periodically then you can set this to 0% and no tips will be paid out
Low Earning Threshold
A different way to manage employees who may have individual circumstances like a regular garnishment is to add in a Low Earning Threshold amount for each pay period.
- If you set this to $100 for example, the employee will only be presented with an earned wage access offer against any earnings over and above the $100 threshold
- When all required changes are made, select Save
The Lower Earning Threshold setting only impacts Earned wage access offers, it does not impact tip payout settings.
All changes will be applied with immediate effect.
