Understand Administrator Roles and Permissions
Administrator permissions determine which areas and features an administrator can access.
Permissions generally use the following naming convention:
- [Area] Admin – Provides administrative access to the applicable area.
- [Area] (Read Only) – Provides view-only access to the applicable area.
- Generate Direct Deposit Report is available under Payment Management permissions.
- Tip Pooling (Read Only) can be assigned to a Customer Location Manager.
An administrator cannot have both the Admin and Read Only permission for the same area. Selecting one removes the other.
Select the information icon next to a permission to learn more about the access it provides.
The What this role includes section provides additional information about the access associated with the selected administrator role.
If a permission cannot be assigned based on the administrator's current role or access, the option appears unavailable with information explaining why.
Additional Information
Keep the following in mind when managing administrators:
- Customer Admins can edit other Customer Admins within the same organization.
- The status of an active Customer Admin cannot be changed by another Customer Admin.
- A Mobile Number is required for Customer Location Managers who use two-factor authentication. For other administrator roles, the mobile number is optional.
