Overview
An Above Store Console user with the permissions manage Time Off Restrictions will have access to manage time off restrictions like Cut Off Limits and Blocked Days centrally in their Account.
Blocked Days
Blocked Days can now be created at either the Above Store Console Hierarchy level, or at the store level. The following instructions are for creating Blocked Days from the Above Store Console. Check this ARTICLE for the Store level instructions.
- Navigate to the Scheduling tab, select Time Off Restriction
- Select the Blocked Days option in the top left corner
- Select Add Blocked Day to add a blocked date to the list
- Select Assign from the menu to the right of the Blocked Day. A Blocked Day can be assigned to one or multiple stores.
Cut Off Limits
Cut Off Limits can now be created at either the Above Store Console Hierarchy level, or at the store level. The following instructions are for creating Cut Off Limits from the Above Store Console. Check this ARTICLE for the Store level instructions.
- Navigate to the Scheduling tab, select Time Off Restriction
- Select the Cut Off Limits option in the top left corner
- Select Add Cut Off Limits to add a Cut Off Limit to the list
This will open the Cut Off Limits window and reveal three different setting options:
- 1) Day of week before next schedule: Choose this option if you would like employees to be able to submit a request for next week up until a particular day this week.
-
- After choosing this option, you also need to select a day from the Day of Week (Option 1 only) menu
For example: If you select Tuesday with this option, employees will be able to submit requests for next week up until the cut off time on Tuesday of this week.
- 2) Fixed number of days before schedule: Choose this option if you would like to require that requests be submitted a certain number of days ahead of the week of the request.
-
- After choosing this option, you also need to select an option from the Days (Option 2 and 3 only) menu
For example: If your workweek runs Monday - Sunday and you select this option and 1 Week, employees will be able to request days off for next week's schedule up until the cut off time on Monday of the current week
- 3) Fixed number of days (not aligned to work week): Choose this option if you would like to require that requests be submitted a certain number of days ahead of the day of the request. It is not aligned with the workweek, so this setting manages the cut-off limit on a day by day basis.
- After choosing this option, you also need to select an option from the Days (Option 2 and 3 only) menu
For example: If today is the 3rd and you have this setting configured for 9 days, then today is the last day that users can make a request for the 12th
Finger01.pngRegardless of which option you select, you should also set the Cut Off Time, which is the time of day that the rule goes into effect.
Once you have made your selections, you can apply the new cut off-limits by selecting Create Cut Off Limits
- Select Assign from the menu to the right of the Cut Off Limit. A Cut Off Limits can be assigned to one or multiple stores.
