Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme Updates - May 2021
Since 1st May 2021, the way to calculate the average salary for employees who work variable hours has changed. The calculation should no longer include days or pay relating to SSP or any statutory parental payment or leave days. Details of the updated guidance can be found here.
In April 2020, the Furlough functionality was added to Fourth's HR & Payroll system. When an employee is assigned a furlough status, and they qualified for furlough from March 2020, the average earnings for 2019/2020 displays on the furlough page.
The original detail for this functionality can be found here: WFM UK: Release Note: Furloughed Status Export
The Fourth product team are working on updating the calculation with the new rules and making this detail available within the batch update screen and the furlough status export. More information about when this detail will be available within the portal will be published as soon as possible.
