If your venue hosts banqueting events, then your employees likely have had to re-key data from your POS (or banqueting events system) into Fourth Adaco, or otherwise split managing the event between both Fourth and the partner system. This may not be much overhead if your venue holds 2 to 3 events a week but if you book events more frequently than this, then the lost employee time and re-keying errors begin to add up.
To support both you and your partners, we’ve now launched the Adaco Events API. This API enables you to manage the core event details — time & date, place, and requested menu items — through the partner system, by sending and updating these details directly with Adaco. This improves your employees’ user experience significantly by letting them manage these banqueting event details from the one interface and removing unnecessary manual effort.
The type of data the partner can send is:
- Number of covers, both forecast and actual
- PLUs for menu and retail items
- Date and time of the event
- Event location
Once integrated with the API, partners can add, update and delete event details as required.
