Barcode Scanning – Synchronization with Purchasing & Inventory, and Ability to Edit Barcodes in the app
Whenever a user opens the Counting app, the first thing they do should be to synchronize their device data in order to pull latest changes from the back-end System (Purchasing & Inventory) and other devices.
Barcodes will synchronize to and from Purchasing & Inventory
Barcodes will also synchronize between devices through the service that acts as a median
The ability to edit barcodes in the Counting app is controlled by the 'Property Synchronization' setting for barcodes.
-
If the setting is Always Sync to CP, barcodes are controlled by the CP and users can’t edit them at Property level. Users will also not be able to “Assign” or “Replace” a barcode in the Counting app
-
If the setting is Never Sync to CP, barcodes are controlled by the Property and so users will be able to “Assign” or “Replace” a barcode in the Counting app
