What’s Changing?
The 'Pay and Tax Details' screen of an employee record and the 'Pay Basis' screen are being updated to allow the ability to select a delivery method for an employee’s P45 once they have left. This is a precursor to on-going work being undertaken that will allow the sending of P45s via email.

Reason for the Change
Fourth are working on a password protected email delivery service for the distribution of an employee’s P45. Further details and timelines on this to follow at a later date.

Release Notes
- Go to Payroll > Administration > Company Setup > Select a Company > View Pay Basis > select a Pay Basis
Fig.1 - Payslip Delivery Method
Underneath Payslip Delivery Method in Fig.1 we will be adding;
P45 Delivery Method with the following selectable options
- Paper
At Employee Level
- Payroll > Employees > Employee List > select an Employee > Employee Payroll Info > Pay and Tax details
Fig.2 - Delivery Method
"Delivery Method" in Fig.2 will be updated to say Payslip Delivery method. Underneath this an extra option will be added entitled P45 Delivery Method with the following selectable options
- Select delivery method
- Paper
This will not alter the current P45 way of working until the remaining solution has been delivered.
If any technical issues are encountered with the new export, please raise a Technical Case with our Support Team regarding the issue. To do so, either escalate to the member of your business who is responsible for raising cases with Fourth or raise a Technical Case in the Customer Community.
