Overview
This article provides guidance on resolving an error message which users may encounter when attempting to create a holiday request for themselves.
The user creates a holiday request as normal but after selecting Save, the following error message appears: "No valid days within range". See Fig.1.
The solution is simple but needs to be carried out by a system administrator.

The message occurs due to the configuration of Days Available to Work within the Employment Details page.
An employee can only request holiday for days that they are available to work. There is no need to request holiday for days they are not going to work anyway.
For example if only Monday is ticked (see Fig.2), the employee will not be able to book holiday from Tuesday to Sunday.

Resolution

Resolution
- Following the path below, change the Days Available to Work accordingly within the Employment Details page
- HR > Employees > Employee List > search and select employee > Employee Info > Employment details
