When creating a new employee, users will be able to specify the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) regulations (TUPE) start date for HMRC reporting, whilst keeping the employee’s original start date for holiday and benefits.
Reason for the Change
To simplify the process of transferring employees between PAYE companies.
All payroll customers.
When creating or rehiring an employee, the employee’s start date should be the date they started and will be the date from which holiday entitlement is calculated.
A new date field entitled TUPE Start Date is being introduced. This date will become available within the employee details page when the TUPE tick box is selected for an employee.
This would only be selected for employees who are transferring from another PAYE reference under the TUPE rules.
This will enable the user to enter a TUPE start date which will be reported to HMRC via the FPS.
Further notification of the specific changes being made to People System will be sent out prior to this release.
