The sample report seen in Fig.3 displays:
- The total employees at Chiswick as of 01/05/2012 are 22
- The total employees at Chiswick as of 30/04/2013 are 13
- The average number of employees for the period is ((22 + 13) / 2) = 17.5.
- The total number of leavers are for the period is 16
To calculate the Turnover:
Total Leavers / Average Number of Employees: ((16 / 17.5) *100) = 91.4%
With regards to the total leavers figure of 88.9%, the reason for the difference is explained in the section Reason for Differences Between Reports.

Fig.5 – Date Range and Site Selection
From the example Employee Turnover report shown previously in Fig.3, the total number of employees at the start of the period was 22 and there were 13 employees at the end of the period.
The Employee Turnover Report By Location always rounds the average figure of employees. Therefore, the average number of employees for that period will be shown as 18 instead of 17.5.
To calculate the Turnover:
Total Leavers / Average Number of Employees: ((16 / 18) *100) = 88.9%

Reason for Differences Between Reports
On the Employee Turnover report, the ‘Location’ total figure is not rounded up or down. This is the reason why it feeds as 91.4% whereas the main total figure is rounded and matches the Employee Turnover by Location with the value of 88.9% leavers.
