What’s Changing?
Introduction of a new 'Day' view on the Scheduling tab, to compliment the existing 'Week' view.
Reason for the Change
The addition of the 'Day' view responds directly to user feedback, reflecting our commitment to continually enhancing our product to meet the evolving needs of our customers. This feature allows for an enhanced scheduling experience, offering detailed insights into daily workforce deployment and enabling users to make more informed decisions regarding resource allocation.
Customers Affected
All Revenue-Based Scheduling customers on the new user interface.
Please note - the Day view described below will only function correctly when using the application on a desktop/laptop PC.
Release Notes
- Go to the Scheduling tab and switch between the Day and Week views (top-left corner) as required
Fig.1 - 'Day/Week' view toggle
- When using the Day view, employees can be filtered by Area and Role
- Copy/Move Shifts
- Copy- select a shift, scroll to and select another employee. The shift will be copied to the same start and end time
- Move - select a shift and then select a new position (time of day) in the employee row The shift will have the same duration
- Use the left/right arrows at the top of the screen to change to different days
- Search by employee can be used from the left side of the screen

To add Open or Contractor shifts, use the same 'add' button, as on the weekly view - see Fig.3

When added, open shifts will display as shown in Fig.4.
Expand the open shifts to see all of them, ordered by start time

As with open shifts, contractor shifts are initially displayed as one row which can be expanded to reveal all.
