Overview
This article provides guidance for employees who create their own holiday requests using 'Self Administration' in the HR module. There are also instructions at the end of the article on how to delete your holiday requests.

Creating Holiday Requests in the HR Module
- Using the side menu, go to HR Module > Self Administration > Holiday Requests

- From the top-right corner, select Create Holiday Request
- Select the required date range

Then use the Calculate Number of Days button to confirm how many days are being requested
- If your organisation uses holiday hours instead of days, enter the No. of hours and then Save
- Use the Half Day? and Unpaid? tickboxes to create a holiday request of that type if needed. Unpaid days/hours will not be deducted from your holiday allowance
- When ready, select Save

The next screen will display each requested holiday day, and a clear record of how many days holiday are allowed, have been taken, are remaining, etc. Please speak to your manager if you have any questions about these numbers.
- If any days have been created in error, tick the Delete box against each one
- There is another opportunity to mark a holiday as Unpaid - again, tick the required box(es)
- To confirm the holiday requests or any changes made, select Save

The holiday request(s) will then be created and ready for authorisation by your line manager.
Deleting your Holiday Requests
As shown above, it is possible to delete holiday requests before they are saved and submitted.
To delete a submitted holiday request:
- Go to Self Administration > Holiday Requests
- Use the tick boxes in the 'Delete' column and then select the Delete button

Please note: Holiday days can only be deleted if they are in the future, or the rota week that contains the day has not been completed or submitted to payroll. To remove a holiday for a submitted rota, please speak to the admin user within your organisation.
