Upgrade to .Net Framework - February 2023
Customers are reminded that in Adaco release 4.6.135 (scheduled for release on February 21st & 23rd), the version of Microsoft's .Net framework used to run Adaco will be updated to version 4.7.2.
To ensure that you are ready, please refer to this previous release note.
Option to Receive Information-Only Notifications
- Enabled by Default? - Yes
- Set up by customer Admin? - No
- Enable via Support ticket? - No
- Affects configuration or data? - No
- Roles Affected: - Adaco users who have a Fourth Account and access the Fourth app
What's Changing?
It is now possible to be notified of requisition and invoice approvals or rejections by push notification on the Fourth app rather than by email.
Reason for the Change
To make it easier for users to receive and view notifications.
Customers Affected
Adaco users who use the Fourth app.
Release Note Info/Steps
The setting is applied at user level. To apply it:
- Go to Edit > Preferences and select the Communication tab
- Tick the box(es) against Information Only Approvals and then select OK
The user will then receive notifications that their requisitions or invoices have been approved or rejected via the Fourth app and not email. If this option is not selected, the user will continue to receive email notifications when their requisitions or invoices have been approved or rejected.
For clarity, the option called Approvals (see Fig.1) will dictate whether the user receives notifications for items that require their approval via the Fourth app or email. This is separate from the Information Only Notifications setting which determines how users want to be notified when their own requisitions or invoices have been approved or rejected.
Approvals controls how you want to be notified about things that you need to approve
Information Only Notifications controls how you want to be notified about your items which have been approved or rejected by other users

In future releases, this new option will be expanded to allow other system notifications to be sent as notifications rather than emails.
