    Matthew,

I want to make sure I understand your question correctly before responding.

From what you have shared it sounds like you have products or recipes on your inventory guides that you are looking to somehow identify as items that are then sold via your POS as they are represented on your inventory guide.  Is this correct?

    Hi Kay,

That's pretty much it. For instance, we have recipes and/or products that we manage in Fourth from a procurement and inventory perspective, and we have menu items that we sell in our POS that are tied back to these. But when we reconcile POS sales to product inventory, there are items we consider "chargeables" that we can physically count and maintain proper QoH to be prepared for the next event we host.

Example: Recipe = Bud Light 16oz; that is made up of a 16oz Cup and 16 ounces of bud light draft

When we reconcile inventory to sales, we can only physically count the cup, so that is the product within the guide we want to flag as "chargeable" so that is the item of importance when reviewing re-order reports, on-demand spot checks, etc.

Hope that helps clear this up!

    Matt,

My apologies for the delay in responding.  If you refer to this article around creating a product and specifically the section on the "recipe" tab and utilizing the "key product" we believe this may assist with your query.

When a product is marked as a "key item":

There was also a post from another customer on the benefit of using this functionality that you will find here.

If this is indeed along the lines of what you are looking for from there, we would suggest you raise an "idea" to incorporate the same criteria in potential additional reports that you feel would bring value to what you are looking to gain by having a way to isolate these products.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Sincerely,

    Kay Capell
