If your company's POS system is integrated with HotSchedules through our HSConnect program, you may see an option on your desktop called the HSConnect Restart. Running this will restart the HSConnect services on your POS computer.
If you are getting an error running the HSConnect Restart, there can be a few different reasons.
Confirm you have Windows administrator access on the BOH POS computer where you see the restart. You can check this by clicking the start menu then the icon in the upper right hand corner of the toolbar that has the user picture you will then get a pop up and see "admin" "standard user' or "unknown account type." Often the accounts other than the administrator do not have the ability to restart services. You can contact your system administrator and have them give you the correct level of access if needed.
