Tip pooling is a solution that allows administrators to automate the distribution of tips and service charge across employees and locations. Different pool types such as automatic and event pools, configurable contribution and distribution types, as well as customizable day parts allow you to configure tip pooling to work seamlessly for your organization.

The tip pooling calculation process can be fully automated, or managers can keep a hand in with a requirement to review hours and/or approval tip distribution in HotSchedules.
Furthermore, pool configuration and management can be seamlessly managed via the Tip Management module in HotSchedules, ensuring that tip allocation is fair, auditable and visible for managers and employees alike.
Tip Pooling configuration settings are accessible from directly within HotSchedules by clicking the Tip Management button, as shown below in fig.2.

Transparency for Employees
Employees have full visibility in the Fuego app over their Tip distributions, with details of tip pools they are contributing to and/or receiving from. This is visible from their Tips breakdown within the Earnings Summary on the My Pay tab. They are also able to view contributions and tips received per shift, where multiple shifts are worked in a single day.
Please note: Enrollment via the Fuego app is also how employees can sign up for Fuego On-Demand Pay, if available . The tips can be paid through either Tip Pay Out or Earned Wage Access.
