The Pool Configuration tab allows for Customers to set up settings for a 'default configuration' as well as control settings for any locations that don't apply to the default; potentially a different brand or business type. The day parts, job groupings and tip pooling policies can be set per Pool Configuration and then relevant locations can be assigned. This enables you to account for differences in configuration across your organization.
Please note: All pool configurations will adopt the same Organization settings, which can be view at any time. If you need a change to be made to these settings, please submit a request to our support team here.

Location Assignment
Existing locations will display here and can be assigned to the chosen pool configuration. In the instance of new restaurant openings an administrator will need to make sure the new location is assigned to the relevant pool configuration.
The locations tab will display all locations and whether they are unassigned or assigned to a particular pool.
Fig.2 - Assigning Locations
To assign a location to a pool or to make edits to the existing pool assignment, check the box next to the location and then click update pool configuration.
Fig.3 - Updating Assignments
You will be presented with 3 options. Click assign to this pool configuration to assign the location to the pool configuration you are configuring.
Please note: When assigning locations to the pool configuration, this does not mean that all of the locations will automatically run the pools. It is possible to have pools running at some of the assigned locations and not others.
Fig.4 -Assign to this pool configuration
Click unassign from any pool configurations to remove the location from all pools.
Fig.5 - Unassign from any pool configurations
Click reassign to another pool configuration to move the location to a different pool configuration. You will be prompted to select the updated pool configuration from the dropdown.

Day Parts & Shifts Configuration
Day parts can be defined once and will apply across all locations assigned to the pool configuration. Whilst most configurations will be set up during implementation, admins are able to modify the day parts as and when needed. This includes adjusting buffers for shift clock in and clock out times that fall outside the standard day parts.
Shift Allocation Options
- When a shift spans multiple day parts, you can choose how hours are distributed:
- Split by time: Allocate hours based on actual time worked within each day part (e.g. 10:00–12:00 as morning, 12:00–16:00 as afternoon).
- Majority allocation: Assign the entire shift to the day part where the majority of hours were worked (e.g. if most hours fall in the afternoon, the shift is counted as afternoon).
Additional shift length parameters can be configured, as well as whether you want to include or exclude automatic clock-out shifts, typically based on the business day start time.
Please note: Day parts are are configured exclusively within Tip Pooling service for pooling purposes. These settings do not pull from or impact day parts in other parts of your Fourth solution.

Job Grouping Configuration
Under this tab you can configure teams by job grouping. This can be particularly useful for larger organizations with several job codes, however it is not mandatory to set these. If preferred, job codes can be selected individually when creating your pools.
Please note: We recommend creating a job grouping if you are going to create several pools across multiple day parts and locations. When a new job code is added you can just amend the Job Grouping to incorporate that new job code instead of having to update/adjust several pools.
To create a new job grouping, click on the add groups button, as pictured below.
Fig.8 - Add New Job Group
Give the group a name and select the jobs that should be in the group. This can be filtered by the location dropdown.
Fig.9 - Configure Job Group
Please note: It is possible to have a job group, e.g. bartenders, where you want the group to contribute in the same way across all locations, but to add in job codes that only exist in certain locations. When the pool is run, if the tip pooling service does not see the job code added in the data for a specific location, the pool will still function as normal.
All job groups created will display on the job grouping tab. From here they can be edited or deleted as needed.
Fig.10 - Job Grouping
Clicking the pencil icon allows you to edit a job group to change the name or edit the jobs that belong to the group. A yellow notification will display to alert you if the job group is used in active tip pools that will be affected by any changes you make here.
Fig.11 - Edit Job Group
Use the trash icon to delete a group. A yellow notification will display if the group is currently assigned to tip pools.

Tip Pooling Policy Configuration
Details about your organizations tip pooling policy can be entered under this tab. The details enter here surface for employees in the Fuego mobile app, providing transparency and visibility. Different policy information can be entered for different pool configuration, meaning location specific policies can be effectively managed by assigning locations to the relevant pool configuration.
