What’s Changing?
A new setting is being added within the HR module which will enable push notifications within the Employee Self Service App to advise employees when holidays have been authorised or declined.

Reason for Change
When employees request a holiday via the Employee Self Service App, they can receive a notification to let them know whether the holiday has been authorised or declined. This function will be available, only when enabled by Fourth. The new setting will allow customers to manage the notification set-up themselves.
Customers Affected
All Employee Self Service users with My Holidays enabled.
Release Notes
A new global setting has been added within the HR module which allows users to enable employee notifications. These notifications will let employees know whether holidays requested via the My Holidays app within ESS have been approved or declined.
- To enable the notifications, go to HR Module > Administration > Global Settings > Edit Default Employee Settings

When enabled, employees who have allowed Push Notifications to be sent from the Fourth App will receive a notification when their manager has approved or declined a holiday request.
