The Change
New functionality will be introduced, based on a user permission, to enable users to delete termination records which have a future effective date.

Reason for the Change
To enable users to easily delete a future termination record which was either created in error or the employee has decided not to leave after the record was created.

All People System customers.

A new permission has been introduced to allow customers to choose which users can have the ability to delete future termination records.

When clicking on the Delete button, a pop-up will appear to confirm deletion of the termination record. Clicking OK will delete the record, Cancel will do as described.

The deleted record can then be seen by clicking on the View Deleted Records link from within the Employee History page.

Please note that any existing Multiple Employment records will still be set to ‘Past’. New records will need to be created for any valid Multiple Employments for this employee.
Once an Employee is ‘former’ the Delete button will no longer appear. The employee will need to be rehired if they have left the organisation and come back. The System Administrator will be able to reinstate the employee if they were incorrectly terminated.

- HR > Users > Assign User Access

If a user has been given the permission to delete future terminations, and the employee has a termination record with a future effective date then a Delete button will appear at the bottom of the termination page.
- HR > Employees > Employee Info > Termination Details
