What’s Changing?
An approval setting entitled Enable Data Deletion is being introduced for the data deletion/anonymisation services.
Release notes have already been published regarding the new service which will allow the deletion/anonymisation of employees’ data (see release note WFM Release Note: GDPR Deletion/Anonymisation Services). This is to allow compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in force from 25th May 2018.
The deletion/anonymisation services apply to three categories of data, and a customisable retention period has been applied to each category (see release note WFM Release Note: GDPR Screen Changes for where these customisable retention periods can be found and changed).
Proposed Release Date: 21st June 2018
Reason for the Change
Mindful of Fourth’s obligations as a Data Processor to act on the instructions of our Customers (as Data Controllers), we want to ensure that Customers have proactively chosen for the deletion/anonymisation of data services to start running.
Once switched on these will run on a periodic basis. See release note WFM Release Note: GDPR Deletion/Anonymisation Services for more details).
Customers Affected
All HR & Payroll customers.
