The Change
We are introducing 1 new alert and 3 new reminders to help manage the new National Living wage and apprenticeship changes that are coming into effect from the 1st April 2016. These can be set up to allow you to be:- Alerted when an employee stops being an apprentice
- Reminded when an Apprentice employee with more than 1 year of apprenticeship turns 19
- Reminded when an apprentice age 19 or over has 1 year of apprenticeship
- Reminded when an Employee has 25th birthday
Reason for the Change
We are introducing this functionality to allow you to keep informed of when you need to make changes to your employee’s records once the National Living Wage and Apprenticeship changes come into effect from 1st April 2016.Customers Affected

One new alert and three new reminders have been introduced to help to keep you informed of when you need to make changes to your employee records. These alerts and reminders are set up in the same way as all the others in the HR Module and are just listed as new events in the assign events section of the alerts and reminders set up screens.New Alert
A new alert has been introduced to inform you when an employee stops being an apprentice. To set up this new alert to go:HR > Audits & Alerts > Alert Set Up

Once here, select an existing, or create a new alert and then select ‘assign events’. A new event in the list called “Employee stops being an apprentice” is now visible (see Fig 2). Choose this event to receive alerts when an employee stops being an apprentice.

When the recipient receives the email alert, it will provide the details as shown below.

New Reminders
Three Reminders have also been introduced to inform you when;- An employee reaches 25 years of age
- An employee aged 19 has more than 1 year of apprenticeship
- An employee aged above 19 has 1 year of apprenticeship
HR > Audits & Alerts > Reminder Set Up

Select an existing, or create a new reminder and then select assign events. The new events are now visible (see Fig 5). Choose these events to receive these new reminders on the 1st of each month.
