Overview
A rota that has been submitted may need to be rolled back if mistakes have been made which could cause employees to receive miscalculated pay.
For example: If an employee’s hours have not been entered onto the rota. This article will cover the steps to roll back a rota within the Rota module.
Please note: If the Location on the portal is set to be used in Scheduling (Labour Productivity), then any weeks that need rolling back must be completed in the Scheduling module and not in the Rota module. See here for guidance - WFM UK: Rotas: Rolling Back Schedules in Revenue-Based Scheduling
Rolling Back a Rota
- Go to Rotas > Administration > Rollback Rota
Please note: Ensure the 'Tronc/Tronc2' module is open before rolling back the rota.

If a submitted rota from a previous week needs to be rolled back, all rotas submitted after this will also need to be reopened. Only one rota week is visible on the Rota drop-down, which will be the most recently submitted rota.
If a rota is rolled back and the employees have already been paid, the Fourth Hospitality Payroll Bureau or the company’s internal Payroll team will need to be notified so any duplicated payments can be removed.
Once a rota has been rolled back it will appear again under ‘Open’ rotas, once the mistakes have been rectified therRota must be submitted again.
