The Change
This release enables users with the relevant permissions to update their personal details as and when needed through the Fourth app.

This change will impact all Workforce Management Customers using the Fourth app.
The default settings for user templates within People System is to give employees access to update their own personal details. When this deployment is released, users will be able to update their personal details through the Fourth app, even if they do not have login credentials for the People System.
If allowing employees to update their personal details through the Fourth app is not desired, the following settings must be deselected in the relevant templates.
Saving of changes and failures of requests to save
Successful and unsuccessful saving of changes will be alerted to accordingly.

- HR > Users > Templates > Select the relevant templates and select assign permissions

If in the people system the user has access to change their own personal details, in the My Details section of the Employee Self Service / My rota and Payslip app there will be a new icon to allow them to update their name and contact details.
Validation to ensure the integrity of data
To ensure the accuracy of an employee’s name and contact details a series of validations are done on special characters, blank entries, and formatting of changes before they can be saved.
