What's Changing?

Introduction of a new 'Day View' on the Tip Management screen that allows tips data to be imported/adjusted for that specific day, as well as the option to download a tips import template file.

Reason for the Change

To provide customer admins and location managers quick and easy access for managing daily tip data for a single business date, and to simplify the tips upload process.

All customers who have access to import tips on the Tip Management page in the Admin application.

Key Enhancements

• Simplified Tip Management: The 'upload and adjust tips' functionality is now conveniently located under the 'Day View'. This allows the management of tips for specific dates, whether for single or multiple employees
• Easy Data Entry: A file template can now be downloaded that includes all active employees per location along with their respective current tip data for that date, if any
• Flexible Sync Options: It is now easier to manage the disabling of any automatic tip syncing for specific business dates and rely solely on manually imported data to support corrections or adjustments that cannot be made at the source
• Enhanced Pay Period Preview Section
  • Export Options: You can still export tips data with the following options:
    
    • Pay Group Report (formerly 'Organization Report')
    • Location Report
  • Updated Payout Options:
    • All Employees (formerly 'Multiple Payout') – selected by default
    • Selected Employees (formerly 'Single Payout')

Importing a Tips File, and New Buttons

To import a tips file users should have assigned permission - Manual Tips Import (see recent Administrators Release note).

• Use the side menu and select Tip Management

Your organization name will be displayed at the top of the screen.

• Select the required Location from the drop-down - multiple Locations will be available if you have access to them
• Select Day tip preview
• Select Business Date (which will appear after selecting the 'Day' view)

The following buttons are shown on the right side of the screen (see Fig.2):

• Export Tips Report: Instantly export the on-screen data for all employees and their tips with a single click
• Download Template: Download a pre-filled file template with all employees and their respective tip data. You can adjust this template as needed
• Upload File: Select this to open a modal where you can upload the adjusted file template

• Select Upload File
  • Date against which tips are uploaded is predefined based on the selected Business date in ‘Day’ view
  • Disable Automatic Synching - decide if your tips file should be overwritten by any automatic import on that date
    • Synching Enabled - this is the default setting - manually imported tips data will be overwritten by any subsequent automatic tip imports on that date
    • Synching Disabled - manually imported tips data will not be overwritten by any subsequent automatic tip imports on that date. Regardless of which setting is chosen, a manual import will always overwrite any existing loaded data for that day for all employees
  • Either drag & drop your tips file or use Browse files to find and select it

Final Steps:

• Save and Refresh: Once the date and file are selected, select Save to upload the file
• Make sure to refresh the screen to see the updated changes

All custom tip upload file formats that are in use will remain supported
