What new notifications are available?
1. Internal Hire Notification – the administrator or manager enabling this notification will receive an email each time someone is hired in PeopleMatter at their location(s). The notification will not include an employee name, but a link to view their profile.
2. Internal Termination Notification - the administrator or manager enabling this notification will receive an email each time someone is terminated in PeopleMatter at their location(s). The notification will not include an employee name, but a link to view their profile.
Please Note: These notifications must be enabled individually by managers/administrators that want to receive them – they are not enabled by default.
How to Enable:
Click the Workspaces drop down and choose ‘Administrator’ – on this page, the BETA experience will need to be enabled to complete the following steps.
Click the Person menu, in the top right and choose Personal Account.
This menu will provide the option for Notification Preferences
Clicking into that section displays two new email notification options – by checking the boxes, any manager or administrator can opt into receiving these notifications for the locations they have access to.
How to Manage the Notification Message Template:
Administrators wanting to edit the template being sent for these new notifications can navigate to the Company Settings and choose ‘Message Templates’.
The menu along the left will display the new options:
Internal Hire Notification
Internal Termination Notification
By clicking on the template name, the template becomes editable by the administrator and the text can be updated.
FAQ’s:
Q: Can this be enabled for all my managers/administrators by default?
A: No, these settings require staff to manually enable on an individual basis.
Q: What if I am receiving too many emails?
A: You can disable them for your account at any time with the same steps outlined to enable.
Q: I only see English translations – when will we see Spanish/French for these two templates?
A: These translations will be available in a future release; any manager/administrator that uses the Spanish/French language option, will still receive the email notification – but it will be in English, for now.
