HS: Generating a Forecast

Overview

In HotSchedules, managers can generate a forecast to view projected sales and other forecasted data for an upcoming week.

Forecasts are generated using historical weeks selected from your site's available data. Once the forecast is generated, you can review the projections and save the forecast.

Generate a Forecast

1. In HotSchedules, select the Forecasting tab.
2. Locate the week you want to forecast and select Create Sales Forecast.
3. Select Select Weeks.

4. In the Week Selections window, select the historical weeks you want to use to generate the forecast.

You can hover over a week to view available Projected, Actual, and Variance information for that week.

• Note: You must select at least five weeks to generate a forecast.

5. Select Apply Weeks.

Review and Save the Forecast

After the forecast is generated, review the projections before saving.

The forecast displays projections for the selected week. Depending on your site's configuration, you may be able to review the forecast by week, day, and individual time intervals.

When you are satisfied with the forecast, select Save Forecast.
