HS: Forecasting Memos

Forecasting memos allow managers to document events or circumstances that may have affected historical sales, such as holidays, promotions, severe weather, or power outages. Weeks containing memos are identified when selecting historical data for future forecasts, helping managers choose the most appropriate weeks.

Create a Forecasting Memo

1. Navigate to Forecasting.

2. Locate a week without a saved forecast and select Create Sales Forecast.

3. Select Select Weeks to open the Week Selections window.

4. Hover over the week you want to document and select the Create Memo icon.

5. Enter the memo and select Save.

View an Existing Memo

When a memo has been added to a week, a notepad icon appears next to that week in the Week Selections window.

Select the notepad icon to view the memo before including the week in your forecast.
